We hope you had a wonderful summer! As we approach the end of the year, we wanted to share a tip that can help you take full advantage of any dental insurance benefits you may have. Use them or lose them!

2016 will soon be coming to a close, and so will your dental benefits for the year. We would like to remind you to schedule your cleaning, exam and any other necessary dental procedures as soon as possible in order to fully utilize your 2016 dental insurance benefits. These benefits, as well as healthcare flexible spending accounts, typically expire on December 31st.

Unlike medical insurance, healthcare flexible spending accounts and most dental insurance plans do not roll over to the following year. As such, any unused benefits dollars for 2016 will be lost and given back to the insurance company.

We know how busy families are, however by coming in for regular dental cleanings and exams you may avoid dental complications that may cause you to exceed future dental benefits. We are committed to the prevention of dental disease, and regular exams and cleanings are essential to that effort.
